Multiple stage II on more than 1 turning surface K-3 Mattress

Stage IV K-4 Mattress or Clinitron  
     
Multiple stage IV Clinitron  
     
Recent flap, graft, burn Clinitron  
     
Pressure ulcer, patient up in chair > 2 hrs. / day Air Chair or Mobile Air Chair  
     
Pulmonary complications – pneumonia, atelectasis or need for very frequent turning K-Z Mattress  
     
Patient disorientation, wander & fall risk,requires a sitter Zenith (hi-low bed) or SafeTCare (bed enclosure)  
     
Patient demonstrated history of falling from bed Zenith (hi-low bed) or SafeTCare (bed enclosure)  
     
Challenging or difficult patient transfers Air Pal / Hovermatt / Air Matt or Barton chair  

 

Contraindications: Spinal column instability. Never use any air mattress or overlay for this indication unless a physician first reviews the stability of the spine and approves use of an air support surface.
